Content Inside: Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship FACT SHEET Overview The Skoll Foundation a Silicon Valley-based organization founded to advance positive social change by investing in social entrepreneurs is partnering with the Sad Business School at Oxford University to launch the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship. Using a grant provided by the Skoll Foundation the Sad Business School will fully integrate social entrepreneurship into its Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree program. The objective of the Skoll Centre is to advance knowledge about and effective practice of social entrepreneurship on a global scale through an international educational institution. Funding $7.5 million (U.S.) The Skoll Centre Funding for the Skoll Centre for Entrepreneurship will help underwrite: Five annual scholarships to qualified Skoll Scholars Rigorous research into effective social change A directorship for the Skoll Centre An endowed lectureship in social entrepreneurship The Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship. The first World Forum is scheduled to take place in March 2004.
