Content Inside: PRODUC TION/STAGE MANAGEMENT APPRENTICE GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Production/Stage Management Apprentice will work with the Production Coordinator Production & Company Manager Stage Manager Production Staff and Artists to gain an appreciation for and an understanding of the various production and union responsibilities associated with a not-for-profit professional Equity Theatre. The apprentice will develop rehearsal management skills by serving as Assistant Stage Manager on Round House Theatre productions during the season. The apprentice will also gain experience with casting and understudy processes by assisting with auditions and understudy rehearsals. The apprentice will gain administrative and organizational skills by serving as floor manager on productions and working in the production office. When appropriate the apprentice may call a production under the guidance of the Equity Stage Manager. TASK LIST Serving as the assistant to the AEA stage manager for rehearsal and performance process. Use word processing database and calendar computer programs in their non-profit theatre applications. Assist with rehearsal preparation including maintaining supplies maintaining and preparing rehearsal space and pulling rehearsal props. Provide necessary rehearsal support activities in order to ensure a seamless rehearsal process. Assist in scheduling and coordinating meetings and rehearsal schedules. Assist in the organization maintenance and supervision of backstage activities including preparing maintaining and using set up and shift sheets prep of props and costumes and supervision of other run crew members. Maintain communication between the rehearsal and performance process and appropriate production staff. Assist with the audition process. Assist in rehearsing a production with an Equity cast.
