Content Inside: Lehigh University Bethlehem PA July 30 - August 4 2006 Personal Finance and Entrepreneurship Education Governors Institute for K-12 Educators Every educator regardless of grade level or content area can be a teacher of personal finance and entrepreneurship! Join teachers and administrators from across the state in learning more about integrating personal finance and entrepreneurship throughout the K- 12 curriculum. Special emphasis will be given to integration with language arts math social studies and family and consumer science. Youll build a toolkit full of information and resources to improve financial education efforts in your home district and walk away with new information to help you better manage your own finances as well. Preference will be given to participants applying in teams. The ideal team has: three to five members consists of individuals who represent a variety of grade levels and content areas includes at least one person with district-wide or administrative responsibilities Each participant will receive the following at no charge: program of study related materials lodging and meals. Upon successful completion of the institute and its follow-up activities participants will also receive two graduate credits at no charge. Transportation costs to reach Lehigh University as well as local travel during the week are the responsibility of each participant. Upon notification of acceptance participants must submit a $35 check in order to secure their place on the roster. Acceptance fees will be returned upon satisfactory completion of the institute.
