Content Inside: Massachusetts Institute of Technology Room E40-196 Telephone: (617) 253-8653 Sloan School of Management One Amherst Street Facsimile: (617) 253-8633 The MIT Entrepreneurship Center Cambridge MA 02142-1352 Email: ecenter@mit.edu MIT Entrepreneurship Society Goal The goal of the MIT Entrepreneurship Society is two fold: 1) to establish an entrepreneurial support network among MIT students and recent alumni and actively promote productive interaction with MIT faculty staff other students other alumni and MIT-related new ventures and; 2) to establish a stream of financial intellectual and material contributions to ensure MIT's continued excellence in entrepreneurship education and research. To this end and to serve as an inspiration to others the undersigned agree to the following pledge: Pledge We the undersigned are committed to supporting entrepreneurship and excellence in education at MIT. Accordingly we pledge ourselves to the goal of donating during our lifetime 5% of the capital appreciation of our ventures to the MIT program(s) of our choice. Although our target donation level is 5% we understand that historically donation levels for institutional giving by highly-committed entrepreneurs range from 3% to 25% over their lifetimes. As we would do with any donation we retain the right to optimize the direction time tax effects and amounts of our gifts. We look forward to sharing our successes with the Institute that helped us make them possible.
