Content Inside: Call for abstracts University of Economics Prague Department of Environmental Economics and the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic in co-operation with the Ministries of the Environment of the Republic of Hungary of the Republic of Poland and of the Slovak Republic are preparing 8 th Annual International Round Table Seminar Environmental Policy and Economics and International Environmental Relations of PhD. students young scientists and researchers (till 39 years old). The main goal of the seminar is an exchange of views and discussion on selected current problems of these areas. The selected presented papers and discussion interventions will be published in the seminar proceedings book (in the English language). Preliminary date of the seminar is 12-13 October 2006 (Venue: The University of Economics W. Churchilla sq. 4 Prague 3) The topics suggested for the 2006 seminar: Topics in Environmental Policy and Economics Theoretical issues of environmental economics and environmental policy (including views of alternative schools of economic thoughts) Free market solutions to environmental problems; property rights and the environmental protection Qualitative and quantitative analyses of reasons and consequeces in environmental policies and environmental performance Economic consequences of prevention policy in selected areas of the environment Alternative economic indicators of sustainable development Issues of sustainable consumption and production Theory and practice of economic valuation and pricing of the environment Public and private expenditures on environmental protection: quantification options effectiveness optimization Theoretical and practical issues of environmental tax reform Environmental protection and its impact on employment Economic consequences of introducing integrated approaches in the protection of the environment Voluntary approaches an voluntary agreements in the environmental policy Environmental protection ...
