Content Inside: PROCLAMATION ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK FEBRUARY 24 MARCH 3 2007 WHEREAS many of the new jobs created throughout the United States in the past decade have come from the creative efforts of entrepreneurs and small businesses; and WHEREAS the Partnership for 21 st Century Skills identified entrepreneurial literacy skills as one of the content areas critical to success in communities and workplaces; and WHEREAS entrepreneurship is vital to North Dakotas growth and prosperity; and WHEREAS a broad coalition of partner organizations throughout North Dakota are actively engaged in enhancing entrepreneurial opportunities by offering programs activities and competitive events focused on entrepreneurship; and WHEREAS encouraging youth to be excited about entrepreneurship and working to expand their knowledge skills and attitudes to become successful entrepreneurs are crucial to the long-term growth of our communities and state; and WHEREAS Entrepreneurship Week provides North Dakotans with an opportunity to focus on innovative ways in which entrepreneurship education can bring together the core academic technical and problem-solving skills essential for successful entrepreneurs and workers in future workplaces.
