Dows growth strategy and position as the industry leader depends on solid business relationships within new geogra- phies and the ability of our employees to acquire and expand their cross-cultural competencies. To equip employees with the learning resources to effectively build cross-cultural relationships and avoid potential pitfalls a new Cross Cultural Learning Curriculum is now available. The new Cross Cultural Learning Solution delivers integrated modular tools to foster productive business relationships and effectively build a foundation of trust and understanding coupled with an appreciation of new norms. The new program includes an innov- ative web-based Cultural Navigator a Culture General Program and a Culture Specific Program. The Cultural Navigator is a state-of-the-art technology tool for cultural competence that provides 24/7 avail- ability and global acces- sibility to all Dow employees. The navigator contains an individual self-assessment and profile personalized learning scenarios covering a wide range of country information and business etiquette tips. The Navigator also brings with it a leadership toolbox and diver- sity and expatriate resources. The Culture General Program offers learning resources avail- able through e-Learning as well as in a classroom setting. The general program is targeted at the larger Dow population aimed at enhancing cultural awareness and literacy by providing new skills and tools to more effectively work together. The Culture Specific Program focuses on the interaction within a particular culture.
